At the same time, the Jubilee party led by the party leader former President Uhuru Kenyatta is holding its NDC at a different location in Nairobi. This has created division within the United Opposition which pundits predict can escalate to a total fallout towards 2027.

Already, the Wiper Patriotic Front Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, the defacto leader of the opposition after Raila joined government, had snubbed Jubilee event and instead elected to join Martha Karua, sparking speculations of a fallout with Matiang’i, who is set to be unveiled as the former ruling party’s 2027 presidential candidate.
