According to reports, Matiang’i will likely face 14 criminal and misdemeanor charges once he formally declares his bid to run for Presidency.

Other offenses are alleged money laundering, alleged swindling of KShs 10 billion meant for Huduma Number, shootings of civilians during the Covid-19 enforcement exercise, extra-judicial killings, and dumping of the victims’ bodies in River Yala, Tana River and Isiolo and other places in Kenya.
