KCSE 2022: Here Are the Top Performing High Schools [LIST]

The 20th of January saw the release of the results for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (2022), and traditional prominent names in the exam saw diverse outcomes.

A examination of the data revealed that several national schools faced tough competition from county schools despite the Ministry of Education’s determination to avoid the ranking system and that of naming the individual top performers.

These are the top-scoring 2022 KCSE schools in Kenya:

High School of Nyambaria in Nyamira

The students of Nyambaria High School in Nyamira County put on quite a display, averaging a 10.9 on the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education exam.

After all applicants received at least a C+ in their final grades, the school recorded a hundred percent college acceptance rate.

Of the total number of candidates from the central location, 28 received the top grade of A and 383 received the grade of A-. In the end, the lowest-scoring candidate was given a B strategy.

Archbishop Otunga Mosocho

Meanwhile, in Kisii County, also in South Nyanza, Cardinal Otunga High School registered a spectacular performance with a mean score of 10.76.

Only 28 out of 201 students who took their national exams there were able to achieve an A+ mark.

The lowest candidate in the group averaged a B- (minus), guaranteeing admission to college for everyone in the class.

St. Anthony’s Church, Kitale

Topping the nation with a mean score of 10.33 was St. Anthony High School in Kitale.

The school’s reputation as a leading provider of secondary education was solidified when 41 of its applicants received an A+ and an additional 148 received an A-.

Mang’u Senior High

Mang’u High School in Kiambu County, Kenya, likewise showed exceptional growth and is now widely recognized as one of the best secondary schools in the country.

The average score for the school was 10.36, which is somewhat higher than the 10.28 average from the previous year.

In addition, 81 participants received a perfect A, while 192 earned an A-minus.

Kapsabet Boys High School in Nandi County registered a mean scaled score of 10.76, while Kagumo High School in the same county registered a mean scaled score of 9.58.
