WANYAMA RESIGNS FROM INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL

HARAMBEE STARS LETHAL MIDFIELDER VICTOR WANYAMA RETIRES FROM INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL.

Mugubi made his fist Harambee Stars debut in 2007 and last featured for national team in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers away against Comoros which Harambee Stars lost 2-1 on 15th November 2021 before he was officially stripped of the captaitaicy by then Head Coach Jacob Ghost a few months ago.

In his football journey he has earned about 35 cups for International team Harambee Stars.He’s currently playing for CF Montreal.

The lethal midfielder became the first Kenyan to feature in the Epl when he joined Southampton back in 2013 from Celtic team in Scotland then later he joined Tottenham Hotspurs.

His brilliant goal scored for the Tottenham against Liverpool on February 2018 earned the goal of the month award.

He also scored for Tottenham in their last ever game against Manchester United at White Hart Lane.

He helped Celtic before joining English Premier league to win two Scottish Premiership titles in 2011-12 and 2012-13 and again the first Kenya to score against Barcelona in a Champions League.
